What $385 covers
The shared-desk product includes the workstation, internet, power, cleaning, kitchen and the building's reception. Meeting rooms are billed separately and start at $120. Coworking versus a small private office

Because the desk rate is uniform, the choice comes down to location and building quality. River North (60654) suits agencies and studios — 320 West Ohio, 321 North Clark Street, 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza. The West Loop around North Sangamon Street and 220 N. Green Street puts you in Fulton Market. For teams that fly weekly, the O'Hare corridor centres on West Bryn Mawr Avenue and W. Higgins Road (60631) list 29 units at a typical $2.67 per ft².
Questions worth asking before you sign
Ask how many hours of meeting-room use are bundled, whether the desk is dedicated or hot, what happens to the rate at renewal, and how much notice ends the agreement. Shared-office contracts in Chicago are typically monthly or annual; the monthly ones cost more per desk but survive a change of plan. Also check building access hours — several Loop towers restrict badge access outside 7am–7pm.
